Women in Aviation - The Netherlands Chapter (WAI-NL) is a nonprofit organization that encourages the advancement of women in all aviation career fields and interests.

Our mission

Our mission is to empower women in the Netherlands and in Europe to achieve unimagined possibilities and transformations through technology, leadership and economic prosperity in the industry.

 

We provide year-round networking, and mentoring possibilities, as well as resources, to assist women in aviation and to encourage young women to consider aviation as a career through our collective experience as educators and industry professionals.

WAI-NL also offers educational outreach programs to educators, aviation industry members and young people nationally and internationally.

 

WAI-NL promotes public understanding of the accomplishments, contributions and recognition of women in the industry.

MPS is pleased to host Women in Aviation - The Netherlands Chapter on December 13th

MPS is pleased to host Women in Aviation - The Netherlands Chapter on December 13th as part of our efforts to encourage women of all ages to consider a career in the aviation industry. Agenda items will include a career exploration discussion led by our Operations Manager Jessica de Ron, an in-depth tour of the MPS facility, simulator operation and a questionnaire session with our CEO Philip Adrian.

On 13th December we will be visiting MPS, company that develops, manufactures and maintains type specific simulators, using actual Boeing B737 and Airbus A320 flight decks.

Ensuring European aviation is more gender balanced

European aviation is working to improve gender balance in the industry. Since 2018, EUROCONTROL has been actively promoting diversity and gender in its HR processes and internally with our staff, and working with partner organizations to try to make a difference.

WAI-NL chapter provide a link for mentoring, networking, and outreach. Regularly scheduled meetings include diverse opportunities for engagement with local speakers, tours, community outreach efforts, and additional scholarship opportunities. 

Inspire: Girls in Aviation Day

Participate in this global outreach program through the WAI-NL chapter network to inspire more young women to pursue their aviation dreams.

Scholarships

WAI-NL will engage into securing scholarship to its members to advance in the aviation and aerospace careers they have always dreamed about. These scholarships are awarded annually and only available to WAI-NL members. 

Annual Conference

The International Women in Aviation Conference provides a venue to network with other WAI members, explore recruitment and job opportunities with industry representatives, and grow by participating in the many educational sessions and workshops offered.

WAI Connect Events

Meet WAI-NL staff and other members at WAI-NL Connect events held throughout the year at various industry tradeshows and events.
